skull and crossbones
The skull and crossbones shows a skull over two crossed bones, the classic warning symbol for poison or mortal danger, and the emblem on a pirate flag. It marks something hazardous, deadly, or roguishly piratical.
Part of the smileys & emotion group, it is a more formal danger sign than the plain skull, which carries the modern laughing meaning.
